Another step this week?
While there hasn’t been any official word, it’s possible that the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Central New York could enter the third phase of reopening on Friday.
Phase three includes indoor dining for restaurants, and personal care services. Hotels were on the list, but were recently removed from the state’s outline. They aren’t included in the fourth phase either, at this point.
Phase four would not happen until at least June 26th if the current pace continues. Governor Cuomo has said repeatedly that if any region sees numbers that make opening further a problem – that it will be put on hold.
Local officials are hoping for more communication before the launch of phase three. Many felt that there was a lack of communication in the hours leading up to the start of phase two, which made several concerned about whether it would actually start or not.
