The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Marion man following a reported domestic incident on Hennessey Road in the town of Walworth.
Jody Hamm Jr., 24, was arrested by deputies after the 911 Center received a call for family trouble on Hennessey Road.
An investigation into the incident determined Hamm had damaged the victim’s car when she would not allow him to remove his belongings from it. Deputies say there was an active ‘refrain from’ order between the two. They say Hamm had a previous conviction of first-degree criminal contempt, which resulted in new felony charges.
Hamm was charged with aggravated criminal contempt – a class D felony, and aggravated family offense – a class E felony.
He was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief for causing damage to the victim’s car.
Hamm was transported to Central Arraignment where he was arraigned to answer the charges at a later date.
