New York State Senator Jim Seward and his wife have tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19.
He’s receiving treatment at Albany Medical Center. At this point, it appears as though he will make a full-recovery.
The 17 term Senator announced earlier this year that he wouldn’t seek re-election in November. He represents Cayuga County.
He’s also undergoing treatment for cancer, which returned in the last 8 months.
A number of representatives across New York have now tested positive for the illness.
