Changes were made to the New York State Department of Labor website, but that hasn’t made it work much better.
Users are continuing to report slow service, and all the state can do at this point – is ask for New Yorkers to be patient.
Ellen Teneyck was a full-time personal care assistant in Penn Yan. “I don’t know what to do,” Teneyck told News10NBC. ”I get booted off the site, it won’t load onto chrome, you make a phone call, you get disconnected. We’ve tried repeatedly throughout the day today, with no success.”
The state says they are working around the clock to keep up with demand. That said, at this point, more questions than answers remain for those impacted or out of work due to COVID-19 or the state’s imposed work stoppages.
