The Penn Yan Lady Mustangs basketball season came to an end on Tuesday night as they fell 63-43 to the Dansville Mustangs at Haverling High School in Bath in the Section V Class B NYSPHSAA Play-In game..
Dansville absolutely dominated Penn Yan in the first half holding Coach Katrina Davenport’s girls to just 5 points in the first quarter and just 1 in the second quarter. Dansville led 38-6 at the break.

Penn Yan showed their toughness in the second half. They scored 18 points in the third quarter, 19 in the fourth quarter and overall outscored Dansville 37-25 in the second half.
Dansville moves on to play Section 6’s Dunkirk or Southwestern in the Far West Regional at Rush-Henrietta HS on Saturday.
Penn Yan ends a successful season that saw them capture the Section V Class B2 Championship last Saturday at Gates-Chili HS.
