A dominant performance from start to finish moved the No. 1 Syracuse men’s lacrosse team to 5-0 after a 15-9 victory over Johns Hopkins.
Stephen Rehfuss tied a career high with seven assists, while Chase Scanlan (5-1), Jamie Trimboli (4-1), Tucker Dordevic (3-0), Brendan Curry (2-0) and David Lipka (1-0) also contributed in the scoring. Drake Porter was solid in net again, with 16 saves to stymie the Blue Jays scoring chances.
“A very good win for us today, I think anytime you come to Homewood and leave with a win, that’s a good thing,” said Head Coach John Desko. “I think our offense got off to a very good start and the offense got going with 10 goals in the first half and I think the defense was fairly solid all day long.”
