Wayne County welcomes new employee to economic development office

Katie Bronson wasn’t looking for a new job when she came across an opening in Wayne County.

It was with the planning department. But it happened to be precisely what she was looking for, according to the Finger Lakes Times.

Bronson talked with the FLT about taking on her new role as deputy director of the Wayne County Department of Planning and Economic Development.

“I wasn’t necessarily looking for a job,” Bronson told the FLT. “I thought, ‘This is what I’m looking for. This is what I like to do.’”

Brian Pincelli, director of economic development and planning says Bronson’s resume stood out. Her experience includes time spent with the Albany land bank, and a number of other planning positions for municipalities.

Those factors made her a great fit for the position, according to officials. She called the new job, which she started recently – exciting, with plenty of opportunity.
