W-FL Friday: Wayne boys win fifth straight over Geneva; East Rochester girls lose fourth straight after hot start

On Friday night there were seven Wayne-Finger Lakes boys games and ten girls games.

For the boys side, the Wayne Eagles hosted the Geneva Panthers and this game lived up to the hype. The Eagles led after every quarter, but the Panthers trailed by just one point with four minutes remaining in the game. However, Wayne pulled away late and defeated Geneva by seven points. The Eagles improve to 11-1 after their fifth straight victory and the Panthers fall to 9-3.

For the girls side, the East Rochester Bombers dropped their fifth straight game after losing to the Gananda Panthers in overtime by four points. The Bombers started the season 9-1 but now sit at 9-5 after the loss. The Panthers improve to 6-8.
