A pursuit during the early morning hours in Seneca Falls left a local resident facing a number of charges.
On Saturday, the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Ryan Jacobson, 36, of Seneca Falls following a pursuit. Several local agencies had to assist.
Jacobson was originally observed tailgating a marked Waterloo PD patrol car. When officers with the Seneca Falls Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on West Bayard Street, Jacobson failed to comply.
They say he fled offices and led them on a brief pursuit. Police say Jacobson lost control of his vehicle after the pursuit began and crashed along a residential address on Center Street.
He was taken into custody without further incident or reported injury.
Police say Jacobson was charged with reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a police officer, failure to comply, speed in zone, failure to stop at a red light, speed in zone, failure to stop at a stop sign, following too closely, and other traffic violations.
Jacobson will appear in court on January 17th to be arraigned.
The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted by the Waterloo Police Department, New York State Park Police, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Troopers.
