Congress has just three weeks to approve funding for health care programs in our area.
Jordan Health, Unity Hospital, Regional Primary Care Network, Oak Orchard Community Health Center in Brockport and Finger Lakes Community Health have all provided health care to all patients, regardless of those patients’ ability to pay or access to health insurance.
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is asking members to approve the money for community health centers before Dec. 20.
“Without renewed federal funding, New York health centers would lose more than $128 million in funding and hundreds of thousands of people would be at risk of losing access to care,” Senator Gillibrand said.
