Ahead of Veterans Day, Congressman Joe Morelle is raising awareness about proposed legislation in the House of Representatives aimed at helping those who’ve served our nation.
Morelle was in Rochester Thursday to detail the bills he is co-sponsoring.
Those bills include the Homeless Veteran Families Act, which would provide greater financial aid for homeless veterans with dependents, and the Honoring All Veterans Act, which would revise the VA’s mission statement to expand inclusivity to female veterans and family members.
Referencing Thursday’s snowy weather, Morelle said it was a reminder of the sometimes-brutal conditions our nation’s heroes went through while serving America.
