Aaron Boone was named a finalist for the A.L. Manager of the Year, Major League Baseball announced Monday.
In Boone’s second season at the helm, the New York Yankees went 103-59 this summer en route to their first division title since 2012. The Yankees swept the Twins in the ALDS but lost to the Astros in the ALCS for the second time in three years.
Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli and Tampa Bay’s Kevin Cash were named the other two finalists. MLB will announce the winner Nov. 12.
