As the holiday season approaches, the Better Business Bureau gives tips when it comes to shopping online, and to ensure the company you’re giving business to is legitimate.
Melanie McGovern is the Communications Director for the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York.
She suggests looking at interactions between the company and the customer through online reviews before making any purchases.
“The biggest thing you wanna look for is how did the business respond? If somebody had a complaint, did the business take the time to respond to that complaint to resolve it to the customer’s satisfaction?” said McGovern.
