The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has provided new information on the 53-year-old Canandaigua man who fell through a roof on Tuesday.
Around 3:02 p.m. deputies, New York State Police, Seneca Castle Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, Mercy Flight, and the Ontario County EMS coordinator were all dispatched to 2524 State Route 5&20 in the Town of Seneca for the report of a man who had fallen through a roof.
Deputies say Jeffrey Russell, 53, of Canandaigua was repairing a metal roof on his property when he fell through the roof and landed on the concrete floor.
Deputies say that Russell fell approximately 14 feet, and suffered numerous injuries to his wrist and hip. He also suffered internal injuries as result of the fall.
Deputies say Russell was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.
