More than 700 without power for around two hours in Cayuga County

NYSEG reports that power has been restored to those impacted by an outage in Southern Cayuga County on Tuesday.

The outage began during the late-morning hours, and continued for a couple hours.

In the process, approximately 700 people were without power in Aurora, Ledyard, Scipio, and Venice.

Bob Pass, a spokesman for NYSEG told the Auburn Citizen that the cause of the outage was a blown transformer in Aurora.

Crews restored power by 12:10 p.m.
