The Union Springs Central School District will hold a hearing on a proposal to pay for the emergency removal of contaminated soil under its bus garage.
The community hearing is set for Aug. 12 at the Union Springs Middle/High School auditorium. District Superintendent Jarett Powers said Friday that the problem is related to the $1.48 million capital project for bus garage renovations approved by community members in May 2018.
