Fayette man charged with damaging septic pipe

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on July 3, 2019 at approximately 11:30am, Investigators arrested John N. Amidon, age 65 of Canoga Island in the Town of Fayette. Amidon is alleged to have damaged a septic pipe on multiple occasions over the course of two years, by drilling holes into the line and filling it with spray foam, causing significant damage and loss to the victim.

As a result of the investigation Amidon was charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd, a Class E Felony, and two counts of Criminal Tampering 3rd, a Class B Misdemeanor. Amidon is being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment at the Centralized CAP Court.
