A Fayette resident faces three misdemeanor animal-neglect charges after an investigator reported that three surrendered dogs were emaciated and showed signs of inadequate nutrition, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested LC Collins, 34, around 3:10 p.m. Oct. 6 in the town of Fayette.
The investigation began with a referral from an investigator with the Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
The investigator reported that the dogs showed poor body condition consistent with inadequate or improper nutrition, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Collins was charged with three counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals through failure to provide proper sustenance, all class A misdemeanors.
Collins was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Romulus and released on an appearance ticket.
A Fayette Town Court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 10.
