The Auburn Doubledays had won 9 of their last 11 games heading into Thursday night’s series opener against league-leaders Batavia at Falcon Park. The Muckdogs’ pitching kept the Auburn bats quiet as Batavia took the opener 3-2 before a Fourth of July fireworks display following the ballgame.
