Doubledays post big 8th inning to take series opener from West Virginia

The Auburn Doubledays opened up a 7-game home stand on Monday night with a 7-5 win over the West Virginia Black Bears. Seven Ddays recorded hits led by Landerson Pena who went 3 for 4 and Adalberto Carrillo who scored twice on 2 hits and knocked home 2 more.

Auburn trailed by a run heading into the bottom of the 8th inning before exploding for four to take the lead. Fausto Segura notched the win despite giving up a solo shot in the top of the 9th.

The Doubledays face West Virginia again on Tuesday night at Falcon Park in Auburn. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and the game can be heard LIVE on FingerLakes1.com Radio starting at about 6:45 p.m.
