The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the closure of County Road 40 in the Town of Richmond due to power lines, which came down earlier in the day.
According to deputies, National Grid closed County Road 40 between Belcher Road and County Road 15 around 3:30 p.m.

The closure was expected to last an ‘extended period of time’, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Those on-scene indicated that the wires came down after a piece of farm equipment pulled them down. The farm equipment was operating legally, according to deputies.
