LETTER: Supervisor Lorenzetti gives update from town of Fayette

Editor’s Note: The following is an update from Fayette Town Supervisor Cindy Lorenzetti. If you have a community update to provide from a business or municipality – send it to [email protected].

The Town of Fayette offices will be closed to the public. A locked drop box located outside the front door can be used for any payments, applications, etc. The staff which includes our town clerk and account clerk are working limited hours and will not open doors to the public. We will accept calls and get back to any questions the residents may have.

The highway department has split its workforce and each group will work every other week. The town board met in emergency session on March 17th and voted on this schedule and that our workers will get full pay. We realize the importance of our employee’s and want them to know our town appreciates their services.

Last but not least, anyone in our town that needs assistance getting groceries or medicines please call Cindy Lorenzetti at 315-521-4144 and arrangements will be made. Pray for all your neighbors, adhere to social distancing and God Bless all the workers in healthcare, grocery, pharmacies, food service, truck drivers and all those out there each day doing their best to get us through these trying times.
