REMEMBERING: Shannon L. Knapp, 42, of Springwater

At age 42, Shannon passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at her home in Springwater. She was born on August 22, 1984, to John (Jan) Stoddard and Lisa Crowley.

In addition to her parents, Shannon is survived by her children, Hunter Losey, Justin Knapp Jr., Naja (Max) Mehlenbacher, and Annastasia Knapp; her husband, Justin Knapp; her sister, Nicole (Richard) Wagner; her grandchildren, Tucker and Olive; her niece, Lillyana; and her nephew, Aven.

Shannon was known to just about everyone as Auntie, and she had a way of making everyone feel like family. She was the best sister anyone could ask for, a devoted mother who made sure her children always knew how deeply they were loved, and a steady rock for her family. Generous and bighearted, Shannon wore her heart on her sleeve and never turned anyone away. Wherever she was, she made people feel welcome and at home. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Gus, and she cherished the adventures that came with traveling and spending time at the beach.

Shannon also knew how to make life fun. She was the life of the party, a loyal friend, and a quick-witted, playful presence who was always ready with good-natured “shit talk” and a reason to laugh. She enjoyed concerts, breaking out her air guitar, and relaxing with a Crown Apple or White Claw. She could certainly hold her own. As a devoted Bills fan, Shannon loved cheering on her team. Go Bills! Above all, Shannon brought laughter, love, and a feeling of home wherever she went. She will be remembered with deep affection by all who were lucky enough to call her Auntie, and by the many who lovingly called her Mama Shannon.
