Ithaca College will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services with a Nov. 8 event, according to Ithaca College.
The Silver & Sequins celebration runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in Emerson Suites.
The anniversary drag brunch will feature student performances, free food and time to reflect on the center’s history.
The center opened in 2001 after work by a committee formed in 1999.
Now directed by Crissi Dalfonzo, it helps students navigate name updates, housing, restroom access, scholarships and health and community resources.
Its campus programs include Pride Prom and Lavender Graduation.
The center is staffed weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional evening student staffing and support from Pride Fellow Cefari Langford.
