Tyler Bass entered the 2026 NFL season with plenty to prove. After missing the entire 2025 campaign due to injury and facing criticism from Buffalo Bills fans over his consistency, the veteran kicker had no shortage of doubters. Through seven games, however, Bass has emerged as one of the NFL’s most reliable kickers, and the numbers back it up.
Through Buffalo’s first seven games, Bass has converted all 16 of his field goal attempts, tying him for the NFL lead with a perfect 100 percent success rate. His 16 successful kicks are tied for eighth in the league, while his 69 kicking points rank sixth. Bass has also gone 5-for-5 from 40 to 49 yards and 2-for-2 from at least 50 yards, including a season-long 56-yarder.
Bass added two franchise records to his résumé during Sunday’s 36-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. His 51-yard field goal late in the second quarter marked his 19th consecutive make dating back to 2024, surpassing Rian Lindell’s previous team record of 18 set in 2007.
The 29-year-old also made history from long distance. His 56-yarder tied Stephen Hauschka’s franchise record of six consecutive successful field goals from at least 50 yards, set in 2017. Bass then drilled a 51-yarder in the second quarter to establish a new team record with seven straight makes from that distance.
While Bass has been perfect on field goals, he has missed two extra-point attempts, going 21-for-23 (91.3%),
The Bills (6-1) return to action Monday night when they visit the Minnesota Vikings (6-1) at U.S. Bank Stadium, with kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
