The Buffalo Bills released safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson on Tuesday, ending his stint with the team after six games.
Defensive back Te'Cory Couch will remain on Buffalo's 53-man roster, the team reported.
Gardner-Johnson did not count against the 53-man roster last week because of his one-game suspension in Week 8. Buffalo used that open spot to sign Couch to the active roster on Oct. 31.
Gardner-Johnson started all six games he played for Buffalo, recording 26 tackles and one interception.
