No. 11 William Smith scored twice in the first half to beat RPI 2-0 on Senior Day in Geneva and finish its Liberty League women's soccer schedule with a perfect 9-0 record.
Aleena Solano and Kristin Middaugh scored for the Herons, who improved to 13-3 overall and will enter the conference tournament as the top seed, according to HWS Athletics.
Two early goals put Herons in control
Solano opened the scoring at 10:05 after Grace Metzler's shot from outside the penalty area was stopped by RPI goalkeeper Hanna Pihu. Solano collected the rebound and tapped it in for her third goal of the season.

William Smith nearly added a third in the 18th minute. Sofia Carney split two defenders and hit the crossbar with a shot from 18 yards, and Miranda Demura sent the rebound high.
Solano threatened again in the 50th minute, but RPI goalkeeper Ava Gaboury stopped her shot toward the upper-right corner.
