Deputies charged him with third-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

The sheriff's office said a verbal altercation escalated when Rewa allegedly smashed the victim's car window, causing $250 in damage. An 11-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time, deputies said.

Rewa was processed at the sheriff's office and taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment, which was scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26.
