Canandaigua police arrested Jadon Williams, 26, on Oct. 6 after investigating a Sept. 28 theft report from a Fort Hill Avenue address.
Police said Williams stole $500 in cash from a resident and took the resident's vehicle without permission.
The department charged him with third-degree unlawful use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny, according to its Oct. 20 arrest blotter.
Williams was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
