Milo residents will have a chance to comment on the town's 2027 budget, two fire-protection contracts and special district assessments during four public hearings tonight.
The Town Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the town offices, 137 Main St. in Penn Yan, according to the agenda and the town's meeting information. The hearings will open at five-minute intervals, beginning with the 2027 Special District Assessment Roll.
Four hearings begin at 7 p.m.
The special district assessment hearing is scheduled to open at 7 p.m. The hearing on the 2027 Penn Yan fire contract follows at 7:05 p.m., and the 2027 Himrod fire contract hearing opens at 7:10 p.m.
The hearing on the 2027 Town of Milo budget is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. A public-comment period follows the hearings.

Dog-control agreement and comprehensive plan
Another proposed action would authorize Supervisor Leslie Church to sign the 2027 intermunicipal dog-control agreement with Yates County.
The final draft of the Town of Milo Comprehensive Plan is also scheduled for review as a non-action item.
Members will consider approving minutes from the Sept. 21 regular meeting and budget workshops held Sept. 24 and Oct. 5. Committee reports, review of monthly reports and approval of the abstract of vouchers are also scheduled.
A second public-comment opportunity is listed near the end of the meeting, before an executive session if necessary and adjournment.
