The school also placed second in Niche's Best High Schools for STEM category, among 23 Rochester-area schools and 18 Monroe County schools. That category includes public and private schools; the school's release said Harley was the highest-ranked private school in the area for STEM.

Niche released its 2027 rankings in September. Its ranking methodology draws on academic data, student and parent reviews and other factors, with different weights depending on the category.

“These rankings reflect the transformative power of The Harley School’s approach to K-12 education, which empowers students to discover their truest potential both academically and personally,” Head of School Ryan Kimmet said in the school's announcement. He credited faculty and staff for their mentorship of students.

Harley was founded in 1917 and serves students from nursery through 12th grade at its Clover Street campus.
