Geneva driver charged with drug-impaired driving after North Street stop

A Geneva driver was charged with driving while impaired by drugs after police stopped a vehicle with its taillights off at night on North Street, according to the Geneva Police Department.

Police said they stopped Kelyan Alvarez-Gonzalez, 19, on Oct. 10 and determined that the driver was impaired by drugs while driving on a public road.

Alvarez-Gonzalez was also charged with having no or inadequate taillamps and driving without a license, police said.

Alvarez-Gonzalez was processed and issued an appearance ticket for a later date in Geneva City Criminal Court.
