The Buffalo Bills are reportedly bringing back veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White, who is expected to sign with the team’s practice squad Monday, one day after Buffalo defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 33-30
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, White is expected to eventually join Buffalo’s active roster after becoming familiar with defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard’s system.
The move marks another return to Buffalo for the 31-year-old cornerback, who previously spent the 2025 season with the Bills.
White started 16 games last season, recording 40 tackles, including six tackles for loss, along with 10 passes defended and one interception.
Originally selected by Buffalo in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, White developed into one of the league’s top cornerbacks during his first stint with the organization.
He earned two All-Pro selections and multiple Pro Bowl honors before significant injuries interrupted his career.
White suffered a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles tendon in 2023. Buffalo released him in 2024, and he subsequently played for the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens before returning in 2025.
His expected arrival adds experience to a Buffalo secondary featuring several younger players.
Christian Benford delivered a strong performance against Las Vegas on Sunday, while rookie Davison Igbinosun recorded three passes defended.
White’s familiarity with the organization and previous success in Buffalo could provide valuable leadership as the Bills prepare for the remainder of the season.
The team has not yet officially announced the reported signing as of 4:30 p.m. Monday.
