The Bridgeport Fire District's preliminary 2027 budget proposes $702,019 in spending, including $256,244 for truck acquisition and $94,375 for debt payments.
The proposal posted by the Town of Seneca Falls would raise $701,569 through property taxes, with another $450 in interest revenue balancing the spending plan.
The document is labeled preliminary. It does not include a prior-year comparison or a property-tax rate, so it does not establish whether district taxes would rise or fall or how much an individual property's bill would change.
Truck acquisition leads equipment spending
Equipment and capital outlay total $283,744. Alongside the truck allocation, the proposal includes $15,000 for fire equipment, $10,000 for protective equipment and $2,500 for computer equipment. The budget does not identify a truck model or describe the acquisition's status.
The operating expense lines total $214,500, including $44,000 for insurance, $40,000 each for equipment maintenance and property maintenance, $26,000 for expendable equipment and $24,000 for electricity and gas.
Personnel services total $70,000, split between $60,000 for personnel and $10,000 for payroll taxes. Administrative contractual expenses total $39,400.
Debt service includes $70,000 in principal and $24,375 in interest. No interfund transfers are budgeted, and the proposal's revenue and expenditure totals are equal.
