A person climbed out through a window after a vehicle rolled over a guardrail on State Route 89 south of Elm Beach, according to the Ovid Fire Department.
Ovid firefighters, Romulus Fire and South Seneca Ambulance were dispatched to the single-vehicle crash just after 8 p.m.
Crews found the heavily damaged vehicle beyond the guardrail, just past a gully rather than in it, the department said.
The occupant had gotten out before firefighters and emergency medical personnel arrived and was on the ground beside the vehicle.
New York State Police, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and C&C Towing assisted at the scene.
The department’s account did not specify whether the occupant was injured or what caused the crash.
