Rochester woman charged with felony DWI after Williamson stop

A Rochester woman was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after Wayne County sheriff's deputies stopped her for speeding in the town of Williamson late Saturday, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies identified the woman as Daisha Vazquez, 28, and said they observed signs of intoxication during the 11:54 p.m. traffic stop. She failed field sobriety tests and later provided a chemical breath sample that showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14%, according to the sheriff's release.

Vazquez was charged with felony DWI as a second offense, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, speeding in excess of 55 mph and refusing a roadside breath screening test. The release did not specify the date or outcome of the prior DWI case.

Deputies took Vazquez to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date, which the release did not specify.
