A Lyons man was charged after deputies said he threw a brick at a female relative during an argument Friday night, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Ronald Smalls Jr., 31, of Lawrence Street, was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Deputies said they investigated a disturbance initially reported as possibly involving weapons.
The sheriff's office alleged that Smalls first threw a beverage at the relative during an argument. The disturbance moved outside an establishment, where deputies said he threw a brick that struck her. The release did not identify the establishment or report whether she was injured.
Smalls was processed at the sheriff's office and taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday. The release did not provide an arraignment outcome.
