Ontario County residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of unneeded and outdated medications during a DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event later this month in Victor.
The collection will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Victor Village Hall, 60 E. Main St.
Organizers will accept outdated and unusable medications, including liquids. Sharps will also be accepted but must be placed in a puncture-proof container.
Narcan training will be available on site during the event.
The collection is being promoted by Ontario Cares Substance Abuse Prevention, Ontario County Public Health and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office as a way for residents to clear unwanted medications from their homes and dispose of them safely.
