Adults 65 and older can sign up for free mobility screenings Oct. 15 at hospital rehabilitation centers in Penn Yan and Geneva.
UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health Rehabilitation Services said the 30-minute screenings assess balance and strength and provide information about fall risk. Appointments are limited, and the health system asks participants to register at least a week in advance.
The Penn Yan screening will be held in the rehabilitation department at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, 418 N. Main St. The Geneva screening will be at Garnsey Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Geneva General Hospital, 196 North St.
To schedule, call 315-531-2577 for Penn Yan or 315-787-4570 for Geneva. Online registration is available at flhealth.org, according to the health system's Oct. 6 announcement.
Finger Lakes Health said the program is offered on the third Thursday of each month at both locations.
