State Route 488 at Freshour Road in the town of Hopewell will be reduced to one lane Thursday, Oct. 1, for shoulder work, according to a New York State Department of Transportation advisory. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the intersection from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and motorists should expect delays.
The department advises drivers to consider another route during the work.
The work is weather-dependent and the schedule could change. Drivers are urged to slow down in the work zone.
