The New York Yankees have set their starting rotation and game times for their American League Wild Card Series against the Boston Red Sox, with Cam Schlittler scheduled to start Tuesday’s opener at Yankee Stadium.
Bills overcome sloppy five-turnover game, defeat Chargers to start season 3-0 (full coverage) Schlittler will take the mound at 8 p.m. for Game 1, followed by Max Fried in Game 2 on Wednesday at 8 p.m. If the series reaches a deciding third game, Gerrit Cole will start Thursday at 8 p.m.
Schlittler enters the postseason after a remarkable regular season. The 25-year-old right-hander went 14-6 with a 1.95 ERA across 33 starts, leading the American League in ERA while throwing 193.2 innings.
Fried finished the regular season 5-5 with a 2.80 ERA in 20 starts. The 32-year-old left-hander was limited to 112.2 innings after spending time on the injured list with a left elbow bone bruise.
Cole went 10-9 with a 3.61 ERA in 22 starts. He returned on May 22 after recovering from Tommy John surgery that sidelined him for most of the 2025 season and finished with 127 innings.
The winner of the series advances to the American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
