Two Rochester women were arrested Wednesday after an investigation into shoplifting complaints at the Sephora store in Eastview Mall in Victor, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the complaints involved thefts Sept. 12-14 and that $592 in merchandise was stolen over two days.
Genesis Quinones, 20, was charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, petit larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy, possession of burglar's tools and endangering the welfare of a child, the sheriff's office said.
Shakela Mitchell, 33, was charged with two counts each of petit larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy, possession of burglar's tools and endangering the welfare of a child. The release did not specify the circumstances behind the child-endangerment charges.
Both women were taken to the Ontario County Jail and held pending arraignment. The sheriff's office said its deputies and New York State Police investigated the complaints.
