Todd Alexander will serve 100 days of weekends in jail after paying more than $323,000 in restitution for victims of the Esperanza Mansion wedding scandal, according to 13WHAM.
Alexander was also sentenced to three years of probation and fined $5,000, with the restitution going to dozens of people who lost deposits for weddings and other events.
He previously pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny to resolve a 23-count indictment, and charges against Mary Olivo and Esperanza Mansion LLC were dismissed under the plea agreement.
The case followed complaints from couples whose events were canceled during the COVID-19 shutdown and who said their deposits were never returned.
Prosecutors also alleged Alexander used $141,200 from the federal Paycheck Protection Program for legal fees instead of payroll, and Justice Jason Cook imposed the sentence.
