The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying vehicles believed to be involved in damage to a local business parking lot and a series of burnouts reported across northwestern Yates County and into Ontario County.
Deputies said the vehicles have been reported in connection with damage to a stone parking lot. Authorities have also received reports of burnout marks at multiple intersections and along secondary roads in the area.
The sheriff’s office said the behavior is dangerous and reckless and can also damage road surfaces and stone parking lots.
Officials did not identify the business involved or provide additional details about when the incidents occurred.
Anyone with information that could help identify the vehicles, or others potentially involved, is asked to contact Lt. Kevin Campbell at the Yates County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 315-536-4438.
