Ithaca police recovered a handgun while investigating a shots-fired complaint at the Cedar Creek Apartment Complex on Floral Avenue.
Officers responded at about 5:14 p.m. Sept. 7 and found evidence at the scene, according to the department.
Police said no one was struck by gunfire.
The investigation remains active, and police are asking anyone with information to contact dispatch at 607-272-3245, police administration at 607-272-9973 or the tip line at 607-330-0000.
