An Auburn man is facing felony assault and other charges after police said a stabbing investigation early Sunday led officers to a West Street residence where they found an injured man, several other people and two bloody knives.
Armando Demetrio-Solano, 34, of West Street, was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with second-degree assault, a Class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor; and second-degree menacing, also a misdemeanor.
Auburn police said officers were called to the West Street area around 2:41 a.m. Sept. 6 for an unknown trouble complaint.
Responding officers found a man with multiple lacerations to his hands. Five other people and two bloody knives were found inside the residence, according to police.
The injured man was taken to Auburn Community Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Police identified Demetrio-Solano as a person of interest, detained him and later arrested him in connection with the stabbing.
The Auburn Police Department was assisted by the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, Cayuga County 911 and New York State Police.
