Auburn Community Hospital and nurses represented by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East reached a three-year labor agreement following a Sept. 1 ratification vote, according to WSYR.
The contract includes significant wage increases, improved differentials and other enhancements, though specific amounts were not disclosed.
Hospital and union officials said the agreement recognizes experienced nurses while helping Auburn compete for new employees.
Hospital President and CEO Scott Berlucchi credited collaboration between management and the union for moving negotiations toward ratification.
Union chair and registered nurse Alicyn Salato said the contract supports current employees and recruitment, while the union represents nurses at the hospital and Finger Lakes Center for Living.
