Glove House Children and Family Services has returned to Waterloo, opening a new office in Suite 53 at Finger Lakes Premium Outlets after a brief period in Canandaigua.
The nonprofit youth advocacy organization provides mental health, education, foster care, residential care and family support services across 14 New York counties.
The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce recently joined Glove House representatives, community members, local leaders and business officials for a ribbon cutting at the new location. The gathering included remarks from Glove House President and CEO Keith McGriff and Chamber President Jeff Shipley, along with raffles and giveaways.
Glove House previously operated in Waterloo before relocating to Canandaigua. The organization said the new office reflects its effort to provide community-based services closer to the children and families it serves.
Founded in the 1960s as a single group home for teenage boys in Elmira, Glove House has expanded into a regional youth and family services organization. It said it has assisted more than 10,000 families since its founding.
Glove House reported serving 496 children and adults through its programs in 2023. Its current services are designed to provide care, advocacy and individualized support for children and families.
