A Waterloo man faces three charges after Ontario County deputies investigated a reported harassment incident in Canandaigua and later accused him of resisting an attempted arrest.
Gregory M. Peterman, 38, was arrested Tuesday on charges of second-degree aggravated harassment, first-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the investigation began after a report of aggravated harassment at 20 Ontario St. in Canandaigua on July 24. Investigators identified Peterman as the person involved, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities attempted to arrest Peterman on Aug. 1, but he allegedly refused to leave his residence, according to the release. The sheriff's office did not provide additional details about the harassment allegation or the circumstances of the later arrest.
Peterman was taken to the Ontario County Jail and held for arraignment in centralized arraignment court.
