The Auburn Enlarged City School District held open interviews Monday as it looks to hire teacher aides ahead of the upcoming school year.
The hiring event ran from 2 to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Harriet Tubman Administration Building, 78 Thornton Ave. in Auburn. Applicants could apply on site or submit an application in advance through OLAS.
The district advertised a starting wage of $18.50 per hour for the teacher aide positions.
Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, along with all school breaks off. The district said the typical workday for the positions runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Teacher aides generally support classroom teachers and students throughout the school day, making the positions part of the district’s broader staffing needs as schools prepare for the start of classes.
The district encouraged interested applicants to apply through OLAS or contact the Auburn Enlarged City School District for additional employment information.
